[DeTomaso] slave housing question

I was looking over my ZF trying to figure out if something is wrong with it or the clutch that resulted in the failure of my new engine's crankshaft thrust bearing. I noticed my long throw slave cylinder moves about 2 to 3mm back and forth in the housing. Is this normal. I have never noticed it before. If it is not normal does any one have a housing laying around they don't need any longer.
