[DeTomaso] lower control arm

That looks real ugly.  It appears that moisture was allowed into the arm. 
Perhaps a pin hole at a weld.  Regardless, I'd bet dollars to donuts that 
the lower bushings in the Hub Carrier are frozen solid and instead of the 
hub pivoting on the control arm , the control arm was flexing.  Thankfully, 
it didn't snap while you were driving.
