[DeTomaso] Shaved door handles

I have them on my car and I have both an electric and mechanical cable back-up, which I needed because my remote fob got laundered.. I am considering "un-shaving" the car because I actually am trying to make the car more mainstream DeTomaso. When I originally bought it, the car had been very nicely done in monochrome red (think Miami Vice era). There were no emblems and even the cowl grilles and bumpers were red. Very clean, but kinda looked like a kid built a model and couldn't afford any paint, so it was built in the color of the plastic. If you think you guys got the "Is it a kit?" question, imagine how frequently I got it. You can see my car at www.foothillpanteras.org. (Rob's)

I won't tell you what to do. It's your car so there is no right or wrong, but as for me, when I muster up the guts to drill a hole in the door of my car and slowly cut away the sheet metal covering the cove for the handle, I will reinstall the handles. I think the car deserves the details to make it look more "real" My car now has the full complement of badging, and when the time comes to repaint I will probably remove the molded in L type bumper and install the early bumper set I have (black).
