[DeTomaso] Greasing the upright Shaft

Okay, so I'm convinced, putting a zerk in the upright is the best 
method.  Now I need details.  What does one use to drill a hole in the 
cast iron upright?  What size drill, tap and zerk to use?  I'm 
mechanically inclined, engineering  minded, but without an engineers 
brain (my hat's off to all those who are engineers).  Everything is 
apart so it's the best time to do it.  And it looks like I'll be calling 
Dennis Quella for some parts.  :)

<this project is starting to cost me a lot of money (though it could be 
worse), I'm just afraid of what I'll start thinking once I pull the ZF 
to replace gaskets and seals.  argh>
