[DeTomaso] FUEL TANK VENT / Dick Ruzzin

As far as I know there isn't--at least there wasn't on my '72, so I bought one from a vendor. It subsequently failed and stuck closed and my tank almost collapsed due to the vacuum created as the fuel was sucked out by the fuel pump. Under the advice of Mike Drew, I simply removed the valve and ran a plain, rubber hose from the vent on the tank down to the bottom of the car, so if I flip over the fuel can't leak since then the end of the tube would then be facing upward.

No problems since doing that.
