Another thing you could add to help in town cooling and highway high speed 
handling is a small spoiler that hangs one inch below the normal underbody 
surface at the back of the radiator. It should be at least a little wider than the 
radiator.   

This will create a vacuum behind the radiator, facilitating air flow through 
the radiator.
Sealing all openings around the radiator, top, sides and bottom is very 
important, as you have done.

I get so much flow through my radiator at 70 mph on the highway that my fan 
light glows strongly, without the fans under power.

A good cross flow radiator will provide the cooling capacity to allow all the 
little tricks to work.

I now run a 7 pound cap and no longer see high and low temperature 
variations, the average temp seems lower.
