The pressure cap goes on the small tank, and the plain cap goes on the 
overflow (large) tank.

Having said that, if your pressure cap has Italian writing on it, chances are 
that it is *old*, perhaps even original.   Pressure caps loose their oomph 
after a few years and should be replaced.
