Just a brief, long overdue, note on the 351C dyno program. I've made
a couple of runs down to the dyno in the mighty truckstang to drop off
parts. Parts now at McLain's shop include:

 6 sets of iron heads:
  open chamber 2V
closed chamber Aussie 2V - unported
closed chamber Aussie 2V - to be ported
open chamber 4V - unported (version with 2V intake and 4V exhaust valves)
  closed chamber 4V - unported
closed chamber 4V - to be ported

 4 sets of aluminum heads:
  Ford Motorsport A3 high ports
  Ford Motorsport C302B high ports
  CHI 3V
  Pro Comp

along with the block, timing cover, crank, rods, L2379F forged pistons,
Ford Motorsport valve covers, Weiand aluminum water pump, oil pan, fasteners,
MSD distributor, Pioneer/Powerbond SFI spec balancer, Ford double roller
timing set, bronze freeze plugs, Melling oil pump, 1.73:1 and 1.65:1 roller
rockers, gaskets, several sets of stainless steel valves, and various iron
and aluminum intake manifolds. The headers and some other bits will take
another trip down and there are still a bunch of intakes. Unfortunately,
it looks like the 180 degree headers may not clear the dyno but we have
some others headers that should work. Dave McLain has ordered the rings
and bearings and will be re-assembling the short block in the near future.
Still lots of flow bench work, valve jobs, etc. to be done but we've made
a good start.
