Also note that in spite of the "problem" of drilling a hole for clutch 

pivot-pin access in the side of the toe-box, the factory recommended
drilling a 

smaller hole- circa 1973 for L-model Panteras- in about the same area for an


emergency hood pull-cable. So if you're still flirting with disaster and
haven't 

yet done this mod (TSB Bulletin 9, Article 64), the two could be easily 

combined. At some point, that stock cable will snap and on '71-'72-1/2
models, the 

front hood CANNOT then be opened without some destruction. FWIW- J DeRyke
