Could be a better idea! I guess my point was that I don’t think that asking
santiago will lead anywhere. We need another plan. 

 

The liquidators could be another possibility. I agree that it will have no
impact on the balance sheet, and may even make the sale more attractive
because the buyer won’t have to pay someone to haul all the junk away.

Begging anyone but the liquidators will be useless.

Let's just make an offer directly to the liquidators.

The archives are a "no value" in their balance sheet. It's just a "bonus"
for the buyer ( and probably a hassle too )

You could mount an e-mail campaign to Santiago, and I don't want to be a wet
blanket, but I wouldn't count on it.

I think that we'd have more chance to follow the sale and beg the new
buyers. The most likely scenario would be for someone (um, I don't know who)
to pay the shipping and the new owner would send the records somewhere. 

The new owner will pprobably just want to throw out all the documents and
have a clean facility. 

The other possibility is to beg them to let us help them clean house and
carry away any papers we want ourselves. But I think it is critical to know
who the new owners are if we are to have any chance to rescue this stuff.

How about an email campaign to Santiago to donate the history files to POCA?


What disturbs me is the fact that all the history in the company files could

wind up in the landfill.   There is a LOT of information secured behind
those 
walls; I wish a benevolent entity would make it available to the public?
