That was Kevin Ryniker from San Diego. He said it was a fun time, but it
was a bummer they did the racing at night. Darkness and dust proved a major
visibility issue. He beat out quite a few cars in order to make the final 6
or 8 cars that you saw on the show. They actually showed the Pantera quite
a bit, including in-car video as he went through the cones. The other cars
were supposed to be "street legal" and driven to the event. Many cars were
trailered in and had no plates. The Porsche that won, had an unknown
powerplant as the driver refused to reveal it.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Pantera on SuperCarsExposed
I watch SuperCarsExposed because it usually has some real exotics being
driven in real settings. I hate the show format and the host however. Last
nights episode consisted of a supercar shootout at a National Guard airbase
somewhere in CA I think. Included was a 650hp Windsor powered Pantera
running against a 1000hp Viper. I think the owner of the Red Pantera was
named Rick but I didn't catch the last name. THey had a makeshift course
setup on the runways which was basically a down and back course with one
chicane. The Pantera got a good jump at the start and kept up with the
Viper but blew the first turn and never caught up. They did show the
Pantera going down the runway finish line at supposedly 150+. It sure
sounded good!!!
