Escort was developed and manufactured by one Mr. Valentine.  It was bought out and he soon departed after he saw things he didn't like.
Guess what new company he started.  There is no real equal to a Valentine 1.  Other that make the beeps and squawks and clicks have to be listened to.  One or two simple sound of different intensity make it easier to understand what's going on while you're concentrating on the road
as you should be.  The arrows are nice.  The multiple source warning is very nice.  The range is amazing.  Customer support is unsurpassed.
You can upgrade your unit as new developments occur.  To me there is no question about what detector to use.
