[DeTomaso] Radar Detector Survey

Best on the market at the time.
All the usual magazines etc... consumer reports R&T ...
I got the remote display also, have yet to make best use of it.
I like the direction locator etc.
Price was the highest.

I own several (5-6) and have tested them against the permanent radar/speed
sign on my street, and with police friends.

Jammers etc are not legal here.

I need to pick up a new radar detector.  I used to have an Escort, but have
heard the Valentines are good as well.

How about an informal Pantera forum survey on radar detectors:

What do you have?
How long have you had it (i.e., how old is it)?
Why did you pick the one you did?
Which did you research before you bought?
What do / don't you like about them?
