How about this stuff? I've never seen it but found favorablr reference to it
in a web search on steering gear lubricant and it is an old product made
specifically for that...

I wonder if STP is close to 0W grease?

How about the thin special grease used in the lower leg drives of some
outboard motors?

Just some suggestions to check out.
