Be careful with those on-line reviews. The reviews are based not only
on the tires but also on the expectations for the tires.

The Goodyear GS-D3 tires are usually bought by people upgrading from
their basic OEM tires. To them, the GS-D3s are fantastic, but it is
only because they were used to mediocre tires. As Jack has mentioned,
going from street tires to competition tires is like a religious
experience. The GS-D3s are not competition tires, but they are a good
high performance summer tire which is a world of difference from the
all-season OEMs.

On the other end, guys buying Kumhos are usually track guys or at least
serious cars guys who have experience with good soft rubber and expect
more from their performance tires.

If you compare the GS-D3's scores and review comments with those for the
various Kumhos, you would conclude that the G3-D3s were much better.

Reviews were a major reason I went with the GY GS-D3s...they were 99%
positive and the few negative
were not really negative at all. They may be hard to get sometimes.
