[DeTomaso] Ball joint zerks

Jack & Asa Jay,

	Per Jack's recommendation a few years ago, I added zerks to my front upper
balljoints.  I found extended length zerks readily available at my local
NAPA dealer under their part number 715-1082.  They even have a nice gold
cadmium finish.

If you use a std zerk, the greasegun won't attach. I recommend attaching in
the depressed center using a 1/2" long extension. I did mine in the late
'80s
and they work just fine. FWIW, you should also do the tie rod ends. In all
the
joints you'll only get two or three threads but thats enough. Tap 1/4-28
thread.

THeres a coil spring inside to keep tension on the ball. Drilling here, you
can nick the spring, failing it. Good luck- J Deryke
