I beg to differ. The studs will grow and shrink as the rotor goes thru heat
cycles. The nuts will eventually work loose and you'll loose a wheel.
Don't ask me how I know.

Not a problem- the studs are high-carbon steel so welds will soon crack. But
the lumps left behind on the hub may still keep the stud from turning when
torquing a wheel nut. FWIW- J DeRyke
