[DeTomaso] Mustang rotor/stud problem resolved

If the lumps stick to the hub (or rather rotor if the assembly is done Pantera style) the stud will be free to rotate and move axially. You then have wheels not pressed against the hub which sounds dubious to me.

  Not a problem- the studs are high-carbon steel so welds will soon crack. But the lumps left behind on the hub may still keep the stud from turning when torquing a wheel nut. FWIW- J DeRyke
