You need to MAN-UP girly-man. Cruising along at baby-boy speeds without also running a track event and and open road race in Nevada, Texas, Nebraska  or Mexico and if you haven't broke and fixed your ride on the side of the road that still leaves you in SLACKER TOWN.
   
  And cutting off Soccer Moms in mini-vans doesn't count either.

I drove my Pantera 600 miles from Las Vegas, across the desert, and back
to the Bay Area without any fans. 

It's not the size of your fan; it's the motion of the air flow through
your radiator. You get plenty of air flow at speed as long as you don't
use your brakes like some slacker, wiener dog.

Even Sandra Bullock could drive a bus through LA without hitting the
brakes or dropping below 50 MPH. If you can't out drive Sandra in a
bus, you need to hang it up.

My single sucker fan moves something like 1800cfm which is what I have
used on the back side of the Pantera's race cup radiator with no
problems
for 2+ years.

Doesn't matter if I am at WOT on the track or an open road race or stuck
in traffic on a hot summer day. Mike Trusty and Dick Drenske who are
both
mechanical engineers can confirm what I have been telling you slackers

What I have found is that if you have cooling problems at idle it is
most likely caused by insufficient coolant circulation, not by not
having enough air over the radiator.
The heat generated by the engine should be less at idle than at higher
speeds. (I guess?)
