It is very irregularly shaped, so it's difficult to give accurate dimensions. 
  It is filled with all sorts of weird angles, protrusions etc.

I keep a spare Pantera gas tank in my bedroom (don't we all?) so I can go and 
measure it for you if you like.   But due to its unusual shape, if you are 
hoping to replace it with something generic, you can forget about it.

There's nothing wrong with your tank, other than the fact that it's filled 
with crap, because the car was allowed to sit for so many years.   Just clean it 
out first and see if that works; if not pull it and have it flushed out, and 
you'll live happily ever after without spending $2000 on a new tank!
