It sounds like the thermostat is cycling normally. Just be sure the gauge 
sender is in the block, not in the tank as most U.S Panteras were origanally, and 
are wrong. FWIW, I usually change thermostats yearly along with brake and 
clutch hydraulic fluids, and drain/replace the anti-freeze. THermostats are
