Ron, Most water pumps have a small weep hole @ the bottom of the housing. When coolant starts leaking from there you can pretty much be assured that the pump is in need of replacement. I've run into this many times over the years on different cars I've owned & every time a new water pump has solved the problem - FWIW. Bob
