That was probably in a rod too where you have full view of the engine.  I just happened to see part of the carb linkage through
the side of the manifold otherwise I would have missed it too.  You just don't normally follow fuel line and stuff unless that's what
your particularly interested in.  In a closed car or engine compartment it would be even harder to detect.  Come on guys... you 
know you just want the stacks.  It's just as functional as the wings and air dams on most of the cars you see.  Really just a 
complicated air cleaner cover.
