[DeTomaso] Valve job

Had a valve job done in which new oversized seats and valves were  required.  
When the new seats were set, they set back outside the head  throat hole 
leaving about a 1/16" machined lip from  the throat with a sharp edge.  This does 
not seem to be a problem  with the intake as the cool air is going from small 
to big opening although the  edge might cause some small disturbance in the 
short distance before it  goes around the valve. The exhaust concerns me in that 
the hot air is  hitting this machined sharp edge.  It would seem that this 
would cause a  hot spot conducive to burning.    I thought this sharp lip should 
 be smoothed somewhat.  Any thoughts?
