[DeTomaso] Alternator and starter solenoid boots

I dug out an extra spark plug wire and pulled the thick rubber 90 degree
boot off the distributor cap end. It was a perfect fit to cover the charge
lug/wire on the back of the alternator. Of course, now I don't really have
a spare spark plug wire any more though.

Your neighborhood NAPA store has a box of assorted boots under the counter.
I found one that fit the starter without too much trouble. I'm sure they
have one for the alternator too.

Just my experience

Hi All-

I am freshening my electrical system and have a couple rotted rubber
boots that aren't at the local Kragen nor Mustang shop nor PIM.

Funny that Steve Liebenow was on the phone with the Mustang shop guy
and he suggested I post here.

Any suppliers of:

15016A Alternator boot
15017A Starter boot

It is a rubber sleeve with a cup that slides up and covers the hot
terminals. Not really worried about shorting them but since I have
it apart, might as well slip on a new one.

Thanks,
Chris Clark
