True. When I built my aluminum flywheel a couple of years ago, I mentioned in 
the newsletter article documenting it that the balance figure needed was 
really 28.2 inch-ounces of balance weight. So as the 'inches' part of the 
balancing gets larger, the 'weight'-part gets smaller in proportion, and vice-versa. 
One can visually tell an early Ford 28-inch-oz flywheel from a late model 50 
inch-oz unit by the fact that it takes more mass for the 50-inch-ounces, so 
those weights are usually clear out next to the ring gear, while the earlier, 
smaller amount of weight is about halfway out from from the bolt circle. FWIW- J
