[DeTomaso] Ceramic Coated Headers

Its more then just the liability. I've used HPC and 3 other suppliers on 4 different set of headers and the ceremic coated headers all looked great in the beginning.

After about 4-5 hard open road races the sniny bling became faded but no doubt the ceremic coating was still doing the job and it didn't matter whether I was using aftermarket headers or custom 180's. Guys I know endurance racing Vettes, Porsche's etc., have all had the same or similar experiences....don't want the shiny to fade?
Use black ceremic coating or go slow like JT does ;-]>

And does the coating the headers inside and out make them run any cooler or work any more effectively or make more HP? Maybe it does if you believe the mfg's data but I can tell you I still got a nice 2nd degree burn on my foreman trying to get a tat. Interestingly enough the burn scare tat looks like the outline of Italy! Bwahahaha.

If you want fast buy a set of split fire plugs. ;-]

I am not surprised they changed the warranty. Lifetime warrantees are an
open ended liability that tempers the business valuation when the owner
tries to sell it down the road.
