The fuel pump is mounted horizontally under the tank on the angled  
frame rail.
The fuel filter is there, too.
I use no surge tank on the Pantera. Only on the GT40.
I use only an HP pump on the Pantera. On the GT40, I need an LP pump  
to keep the surge tank full.

I also pull fuel from the top of the tank. Although many have advised  
that this is 'a bad thing', I have had _zero_ problems with it. Well,  
OK... with less than a quarter of a tank of fuel, on the track it will  
starve in a fast corner.

Three pictures are attached for your benefit. The list will strip  
them, of course.
