I'm looking at your car's Detail & Photo page in the Registry right now...

Hacksaws take forever. Sadly I know!

Chrome tips are available in numerous styles. They slide over
the exhaust pipe flange. Cut so that they will still fit well(without
welding).

I'd bet your exhaust tips are new, judging from the photos.

You may want to have the flanges cut off and welded at a better angle at the
same time.

There was one angle for early Pre-L, then another for many Pre-Ls like your
4/72.

The L got a different treatment, due to the presence of the bumper.

BTW: Very nice looking car!

Hi guys. I have the Mind Train exhaust witht he chrome tips on my car, but
being a Pre-L, the tips are way tool long and I'd like to cut them. What's
the best way to cut them and achieve the cleanest cut? 12" cutting wheel on
a miter saw? Hacksaw?

Thanks!
