My Pantera is close enough to do the race - at my sister’s house in
Crawford, Tx. (under GW’s Secret Service air umbrella, at least through next
January).  But while you guys are killing Corvettes at BBORR, the family and
I will be on a 10 day trip to Tanzania.  I finally broke down and replaced
my 30 year-old 35mm camera gear with some serious digital equipment, so I
should get some good photos.  Also, we have a new family webpage where we
document our Oman adventures (just in case anyone is curious) :

   Could be...it got pretty rough at times.  I'm sure it will be back up
though.  Before all the news came in that the race was back on I was trying
to get
another site up where people could at least communicate.  I talked to a few
more last night and I doubt that all this mess will have had any effect on
the
race.  It will be the same people running the operations which is a very
good thing.  Both Mayors and a few council persons just wanted to be more
closely associated with the race and there wasn't anything for them to do.
It went down hill from just that I guess.
   I hope we can put a good group of Panteras together again this year.
After the turmoil it only seems right that a bunch of Panteras would be
there. :)
Will Kooiman, Steve Hawkins and I are in.  Gary and Sylvia are strong
maybes.  Dave, are you in?  We need more!

I just noticed that the BBORR bulletin board appears to have been shut down.
The other tabs www.bborr.com <http://www.bborr.com/>  are all active though.
Too much complaining that the race board didn’t want to hear??
