[DeTomaso] Red Cars - Yellow Cars

I wonder if you could say that the "car wash knocked them off"? I used to
use that one all the time in TX when I would keep the front license plate
under the passenger floor mat. When I was stopped and asked where it was I
would proudly produce it and use the car wash excuse. Luckily it only
happened twice.

Dear Forum,

Hmmm, two yellow Panteras, since 1988:
--one ticket for 100 mph
--another ticket for about 100 mph
--five warnings of various sorts.
--yellow seems to encourage hooliganism...........but perhaps I've developed
resistance. No tickets in years and years.
As I told the nice Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer once when asked at a
traffic checkpoint *where* my windshield wipers were, "Officer, the sun is
up. The sky is clear. It is not raining." At that point, I was directed to
wait in my car while despite the sunshine, his disposition turned decidedly
frosty!!
