[DeTomaso] Shop Design

Can't help with all that, I can offer my own input.


1) All of my storage cabinets, shelving, carts, tool boxes, etc. are
on wheels, clean up is a breeze and if someting rolls under something,
it's a snap to get it back.

2) There no such thing as too many outlets, including ceiling mounted
ones for pull down cords and trouble lights, etc.

3) Same thing for air outlets

4) 8' twin Fluorescent lights, mounted aligned and overhead the side
of a car, not directly overhead.

5) Always wanted a drain in th e garage.

6) Tall enough for lift

7) A rolling movable table to spread parts etc on to move close to the work area

8) Overhead ceiling fans

9) A quartz or Gas heater

10) a parts washer

11) A movable vise that can accomodate both easy items of long pieces

12) A grinder/polisher in a safe place where sparks and flying debris
won't FU other stuff.

13) 24"-30" deep workbenches

14) Professionally coated floors that eaze clean up

15) Exhaust fan
