[DeTomaso] starting problems

How painless!
I couldn't figure out how to find/order a #3223 on ebay, so I went to their wedsite (I think it was www.dbelectrical.com) emailed them that I had a 73 Pantera and suggested I needed a Model #3223.
They agreed, ~$49. It shipped the same day, arrived on Friday and I put it in this weekend.
Once I committed to taking off the wheel, splash guard and headers...it was pretty easy.

I WAS concerned about the electrical hookup (I'm a Mechanical engineer who barely got Cs in my electrical classes):
1) Primary cable to the starter is moved to the "power" side of the starter relay (on the bulkhead)...so its always hot.
2) A smaller gage wire (supplied with the kit, including pre-attached connectors) goes from the starter to the "other side" of the relay.

It went together perfectly and works like a champ!!!!
Thanks for the tip(s)!

Anyone been running this set-up for a long time?
Thanks Pantera buds!!!

"I don't need to break the bank...but I am having the same issue on my STOCK (except Holley and headers) '73.
Vendor/$ for a "reasonable" plug and play starter?"
