I am not a believer at ALL in the usefulness of a chassis brace that is
equipped with rod ends. Rod ends are used in suspension pieces because they are
designed to have a very wide range of MOTION, which is exactly what you do not
want in a chassis brace. The whole point of having the brace is to impart
pure rigidity (in all planes) to the chassis. A bar with rod ends will impart
rigidity in only two directions--a direct compression, or direct extension.
It's useless to prevent twisting motion, which is primarily what you're trying
to achieve.

The beauty of the Hall and Byars chassis brace kits is that they are bolted
or welded directly to the chassis in several places, and they do an excellent
job of preventing ANY sort of motion--compression, extension, or flex of any
kind.
