[DeTomaso] Back to Pantera Content

There was no number that I know of, but it was made of regular car safety-glass. I don't know about Plexiglass and a tech inspection; sounds like a question for Mike Drew.

Sincerely,

Chris

Chris

Did it come with the safety spec numbers etched into the glass?

I'm having safety inspection paranoia this week.

Saying that makes me thing - can a plexi window pass a licensing safety?

When I needed new back window I just made a form out of cardboard, took it to my local glass shope, and for $65 they made one that fit perfectly.

Well, actually I had to spend twice that because my first form was not cut to the right size--doh!

So... what was the consensus on rear window replacement, plexiglass or
glass? I recall some recent conversation about this. I need one and I'd
really
appreciate hearing your opinions again, and good sources and approx. prices
to
expect.

If I didn't have any window at all and was starting from scratch, I would
seriously consider double-paned glass, especially with that super-noisy blower
that you've got on your motor. Basically, two panes of glass sandwiched
together in a single gasket, for much improved noise/heat insulation. There are a
few people on this forum who have successfully done this.

People?

Mike
