Sure- stock bolts can be re-used if the threads are wire-brushed clean &
oiled first. Different bolts are only needed with aluminum heads, because some
alloy heads are thicker than iron heads so stock bolts are too short. Good move
on replacing the multi-groove welded valves. You can re-use the spring retainer
washers too but you'll need forged split keepers (or Boss keepers from Ford)
for your new single-groove non-welded valves. And I'd purchase fresh new
springs according to what your cam grinder tech-rep says for your engine. Be
careful here- closed-chamber heads that were converted to adjustable valvetrain
(that is, non-Boss heads) have stepped spring bases that don't accept conventional
triple springs without further machining. Or, there are triple spring sets
that have special shortened inner springs to fit the head. Good luck- J DeRyke
