[DeTomaso] Cam and lifter recommendations

They will do their best to sell you a Comp Cam which may or may not be
the best choice for your engine.  Comp's catalog cams are typically
ground on a 110 lobe separation angle and that's what they will spec
for you.  A 4V 351C does better with a narrower lobe separation.  Also,
if you call them 3 times, don't be surprised if you get 3 different
answers.

Listen to the man.  I learned that lesson the hard way, destroying a
newly rebuilt standard bore, closed chamber, 351C-4V:

I pulled the head of that valve out of the header.  It popped off
the stem, rattled around in the chamber until it shattered the cast
flat top piston and beat up the cylinder head.  The polished and
peened connecting rod then poked a fist size hole in the block.

Sounds good.  I just need to paint the heads and cast iron intakes
and I'll be ready to make the first trip to the flow bench.
