To be sold in the U.S, they have to be either within 5% (standard) or within 
2% (calibrated). All are mechanical. The best electric sender combined with 
the std gauge was off by 15% and the worst was off by 50%. I use the std gauge 
as an indicator the oilp pump is still turning. If I want to know how well, I
