What is a "life time guarantee"?
When life is over, guarantee is over?
Whows life?
The life of the owner, the life of the seller or the life of the parts?
When a bearing is gone, it's life is gone.
So guarantee is over, or what?
And what means "guaranteed to last"?
To last how long?
Until it brakes !

It took me less than a minute to find the advertisement that Dennis used to
run in the POCA magazines. Indeed, he sold his tapered conversion with a
lifetime guarantee--I know because I bought them for that reason. When he
participated in the technical sessions at the POCA Fun Rally, he would speak of it
publicly as well. He made a very convincing case for his improved design in
that public forum, and that plus the guarantee convinced me to spend the big
bucks to have my uprights modified, back in 1992.

The ad (from 1988) says they are 'guaranteed to last'.

I'll scan it and send it to you.

Interestingly, he still offers each of the products featured in this ad--and
in many cases, the 2008 price is LOWER than the 1988 price!

I've always been amazed at how inexpensive Pantera parts are--and this
clearly shows that they are getting relatively (and in some cases literally) less
and less expensive as time goes on.
