Usually when a stiffer clutch is added, the linkage from the foot pedal all 
the way back to the trhowout bearing flexes much more than what was 'stock'. 
Hydraulic lines balloon a bit and all this soaks up travel. As I suggested, make 
the thing as it should be and if the pedal is then too stiff, add a small 
power booster to the clutch master. Good luck- J Deryke
