Breaking things is a way of life for me
The Pantera has been good since replacing
the water pump after Virginia City.
The mustang hasn't made it to the track
yet with the new motor and trans to get tested
But I did change the chip from 6000 to 6800 so
I don't bounce off the rev limiter when doing burnouts
The Firebird has the motor out for the 9th time
The motor is still intack but needs a new rear main
and a different oil pump that won't push out the rear main
I thought the oil leaking from the rear main took the
clutch out but as always we broke something- the sleeve on
the transmission that the throwout bearing rides on
It might be an alignment problem with the scatter shield
I put in last time... need to use a dial gauge that bolts
to the flywheel to see if it is centered... then if not
take out the pins and drill new ones
Always learning new things and always breaking
things
If anyone needs any testing I am available but remember
if its not WOT or leaning on the car in the corner don't bother
calling
Bob Benson (with another piece for the display area of the shop
the throwout bearing welded itself to a part of the
tranny)
