Maybe. It works like a diesel in that fuel is sprayed directly into the 
chamber at around 1200-1600 psi and only air goes thru the intake & past the 
valves. The only real 'breakthru' is sealing a high pressure gasoline pump that can 
be mass-produced. This was the stumbling block for decades- the mid-'50s 
Mercedes gullwings had direct injection fuel pumps with internal clearances 
measured in angstroms.... In any case, D.I. engines are un-modifiable by you & I, so 
personally, I'm not interested in yet another hands-off black-box. Expecting 
the Gov't to seal all street engines any day now. Sigh- J Deryke
