To John's credit at least he was out there thrashing his Pantera and the big stroker.

As a X-super bike racer I don't think John knew how to run the Pantera or his engine (s) any other way other then WOT. ;-]> Was sorry to see him sell the Pantera.

Yeah, I saw his engine with air cooled 1 & 5 piston skirts when I 
visited his shop :-) It was easy to visually inspect the crank and front 
rods as well :-)
