[DeTomaso] Pantera Stereo/Speaker install question

You can get away with just one low frequency speaker because most of the directional information comes from higher frequencies.  You brain does a lot more than just compare right versus left magnitude of signals, and the shape of the outer ear even frequency colors sound based on vertical arrival angle to distinguish up versus down arrival angles.  It's all really impressive signal processing that we aren't even aware of, and mostly works for higher frequencies.  I think it's referred to as psychoacoustics:

The SRS signal processing in TVs is based on on it.

Well actually, the woofers being lower, presumably at the bottom of the
door, is the better location, with the mid-range and tweeters more at
listening level. The woofer will take care of sub-frequencies, the kind
you more want to "feel" than listen to, whereas mid-range and tweeter

develop the majority of the audio listening range. As to where to mount
the cross-over... I dunno.

The tweeters are in the front of the car and the woofers are in the door.
