I like the idea of studs in an aluminum flywheel too.

What do you thing Goran?

I'm a little cautious about flywheel and clutch bolts. I'd prefer ARP or
factory approved bolts, but I can see why you feel able to decide what is
safe on your own. You're qualified to do that as a professional engineer
Goran. The problem is finding a bolt that has a shoulder that is short. If
you countersink, the thread gets shorter. Spacing the shoulder out with
washers under the bolt heads looks weak to me. I was actually thinking that
studs might be best in the aluminum.

Dosent a regular "bolt shop" sell grade 8 bolts in any dimension?
I am using standard 12.9 or 8.8 bolts myself, which is an european
grade system.
