My (efi) motor burst the left header gasket between #7 & #8 a few weeks 
ago. I had all kinds of theories until I did a compression test on the 
left bank at which time the problem became really apparent. ~70 psi on 
#7 and #8 and around 150 psi on #5 & #6.
