[DeTomaso] Original 100-mile Pantera sold at auction

A 1974 Pantera with only 100 "documented original miles" just sold this past weekend at
the RM auction in Monterey, but the sales price was rather disappointing considering the
car is arguably the best example of an original Pantera in the world. With only 100
documented original miles I thought the final price might be better than the estimates of
$125,000-$150,000.

Panteras just don't do well at auctions and don't command premium $$$ like the other
Italians (including hybrids - Iso, Intermechanica, etc) or muscle cars. But then again, that's
the only reason I could afford one.

The Pantera is one of the best kept automotive secrets in the world, and certainly one of the
most undervalued automobiles available. And I'm happy if it stays that way!
