...and when we are done there, close the road around Lake Tahoe and have another ORR.... but that would be very scary at the top around Emerald Bay  with no guard rails or shoulder and a ???? foot drop off the edge.

You know what would be really cool?  Closing the 651 Loop (McCarran  
Blvd) around Reno and hosting an ORR.  Now THAT would be fun.
