Hi Roland,

To be fair, there are a lot of activities in Reno.  They are not better or worse than those in Las Vegas, just different, which is the very reason the Reno proponents are looking at Reno for a change of scenery.

Reno will not have the opulent, Bellagio-style shop-till-you-drop experience. People looking for that will be disappointed with Reno.

Reno is flat but is located near mountains, so there will be many good roads for driving a fast car and many good destinations.  It is not the German Alps but close to it.  Reno is also not spread out like Las Vegas.  You can easily walk to different casinos, restaurant, theaters which is an advantage for people without cars.

Hotels like to make money by selling drinks individually.  They do not want to allow open bars with drinks by the bottle.  We are negotiating that very issue right now with the hotel in Reno.

You need to decide what is important to you then pick the right venue.  I promise you there will be plenty to make a crazy German happy at either venue and at good price.

I tried to fill the form, but is is impossibel for foreign members.
The selection of states does'nt cover foreign countries.
Anyway, i vote for Vegas and i think i won't go to Reno.
Why? Reno is so little, that nothing really is around.
Spezially for foreign people, who attend without a car,
must be something more around.
And: hospitality suite with an open bar is a must.
