Tightened battery terminal, needle straight up. It's all good.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike

Full left is no charge. I would put a volt meter on the battery. It should
read 14.7 or so when running at 2000 RPM. This will tell you that the system
is charging.

I would also remove the battery terminals, then remove the gauge
pannel....slowly. Not a place to be yanking things...hmmmmm. The amp meter
has two studs with a back nut, wire and locking nut. Take one off at a time,
clean them all up, snug the back nut first the the locking nut. Do the same
for the other side. Clean up the battery terminals.

It has nothing to do with this but it is also a good time to clean the
grounding stud under the dash.

Fire it up and see what it does.

Maybe I just need to take Amp gage reading 101, but coming back from a show
today, my Amp meter was almost pegged to the LEFT. Now I'm used to seeing
it dead center, or just slightly to the right, more to the tight when it's
charging.

Seeing the gage almost all the way to the left, my first thought was that
I'd thrown the belt, but my temp was fine, and when I got home, I pulled the
firewall and engine cover and the belt was intact and tight. The car was
running fine otherwise, better than it has for a long time. It is quite hot
today, and I know both sucker fans were running full on.

How might I interpret this amp gage reading?

Thanks
Mike Thomas
